Spectacular palace-sized near-mirror pair of antique Japanese Satsuma vases. Dramatic and detailed decoration of Kannon with various immortals, dragon beasts, etc. Signed in the round above base. These date to the Meiji period, 19th century.
Approximately 25 1/4” (64cm) tall, with one slightly taller than the other. No chips or repairs, some old stable body hairlines that are most likely an artifact of the enormous weight of these in the kiln. Please zoom in and study all photos as they are part of the description.
