Pair of Kakiemon porcelain hexagonal bowls, dating to the Edo period, 17th century. This is a known early Kakiemon form, though it is quite rare to find a pair. Handpainted to both exteriors and interiors, as well as delicate molded porcelain design to interiors.
Bowls approximately 4 1/2” (5.4cm) wide, one is approx 2 3/8” tall, the other approx 2 1/4” tall. One is in perfect condition, the other has two tiny fleabites to the brown top rim. Please zoom in and study all photos as they are part of the description.
